

A group of 3rd year students from the University of Montpellier were informed about the Xylosandrus and the Samfix project, during their training course about plant morphology and architecture, that took place in the Villa Thuret botanical garden, from 20 to 23 May.

Last 3 of May, students from “EFA La Malvesia”, Llombai (Valencia), learned about the invasive species Xylosandrus craussiusculus. 13 students of the 1st course “Uses and Conservation of Natural Environment ” visited the affected area, learned the damage recognison and the traps as monitoring and control tools.
On April 30th, at Villa Thuret – INRA students from Etablissement Vert d’Azur Antibes, were informed about xylosandrus and SAMFIX LIFE Program through a course by CEIBA Diagnostic de l’arbre”
At end of April, has been finish the installation of the traps considered in Action C3 for el Tello and Surroundings. Traps has been distributed accordingly high, medium and low risk points of Xylosandrus craussiusculus dispersion. Traps will be revised fortnightly.
